5. Brew & Bake, City Hall
The new City Hall has its own cafe, Brew & Bake, and it's open to all. It does really affordable coffees, smoothies, salads and sandwiches and there's plenty of space. 6. Coffeehaus, John Street
Part of the excellent hub of independents on the corner of St Thomas Street and John Street, Coffeehaus is housed within the Port Independent clothing store and is one of the prettiest coffee shops in the city with stylish interiors and colourful cakes. 7. Coffee 57, High Street West.
