Summer 2020 may be a wash out when it comes to events. But plenty of the festivals and gigs we’d been looking forward to this year have been rescheduled to 2021.

9. Lamplight Festival, August 7 & 8
Kaiser Chiefs, Deacon Blue and Sunderland’s own Frankie & the Heartstrings were due to perform at the inaugural Lamplight Festival on August 8 & 9 in Mowbray Park. But, with no definitive date for when social distancing measures will be able to be lifted, Sunderland City Council have announced that the festival has been postponed until next year. The first Lamplight Festival will now take place on Saturday, August 7 and Sunday, August 8, 2021 with the same line-up Photo: submitted
