Charlie Methven has left Sunderland AFC – and fans have had plenty to say on social media.

The executive director is set to depart the Stadium of Light on Thursday, December, 12 – with a club statement confirming he was stepping aside for personal reasons.

And fans had plenty to say on the news, with plenty having a takeover theory and others offering their best wishes to Methven.
