Gateshead complete signing of Notts County striker and close on goalkeeper loan deal
Gateshead have completed the signing of Notts County striker Lewis Knight.
The move comes just hours after Heed forward Cedwyn Scott moved in the opposite direction after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee for the former Hebburn Town and Carlisle United player.

Hide AdKnight became Gateshead’s third summer signing after putting pen-to-paper on a two-year deal following talks at the International Stadium on Tuesday afternoon and brought a successful conclusion to a long-standing interest from his new club.
The 23-year-old forward scored nine goals in 14 games for National League North club Bradford Park Avenue during the 2020/21 season before stepping up to the National League with Notts County and making eight appearances before the end of the campaign.
Knight agreed a loan move back to Park Avenue in January but will now get a second crack at non-league’s top tier after Gateshead agreed a nominal fee with the Magpies.
After putting pen-to-paper on a two-year deal, he expressed his determination to show what he can do for Mike Williamson’s side.
He told the club website: “I’m very excited.

“I’m excited to show what I can do and do well for the club.
“They play with a lot of attacking intent and I think I can add to that and maybe improve the team going forward.
“They want runners in behind and if people have watched me before, that’s what I want to do. I think it’s a very exciting and promising challenge ahead and I think we can do well.”
