Sunderland boxer Jake Bonallie had a dream debut as he won his first professional fight.

The Seaburn fighter beat Craig Glover on points in London's O2 Arena as he kicked off the David Haye-Tony Bellew undercard.

The 28-year-old was making his pro debut after a successful amateur career, fighting unbeaten Merseysider Glover at cruiserweight level.

And in a hard-fought scrap, Bonallie emerged victorious with a close 39-38 points decision from referee Bob Williams.

The former Sunderland ABC amateur now trains with Mick Duncan from Longbenton.
