Still talking about flag

I am surprised that Sunderland Council is still on about the Union Flag at the Civic Centre.

Many years ago, about 10 years I think, I went to a meeting of the council, as a Lib Dem, and the question then was about putting the flag above the Civic Centre.

But, it was argued that it would offend other ethnics in Sunderland.

This went on after the meeting was supposed to close, until someone from the opposite party said why not put it on every toilet in Sunderland, so that people will know where the toilets are.

This caused a laugh, then the meeting was closed 30 minutes after time.
