Paramedics called to help injured woman who fell at Herrington Country Park
and live on Freeview channel 276
The North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) was called to Herrington Country Park at around 11am on Friday after crews received reports of an injured woman.
It is understood that the woman had fallen in a wooded area of the country park – making it difficult for emergency services to reach her.

Hide AdThe ambulance service swiftly dispatched a doubled-crewed ambulance to the scene.
Three resources from the NEAS Hazardous Area Response Team )HART) were also sent to the incident due to the location of the patient.
Medical teams had to use specialist extrication equipment in order to transfer the woman to a road stretcher so she could be brought to safety.
Once in the safe hands of the medical professionals, she was then taken to by ambulance to Sunderland Royal Hospital to receive further treatment.
Her condition is currently unknown.
