Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to a fire at a poultry farm in the Tunstall area of Sunderland on Tuesday morning.

Firefighters from Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service (TWFRS) were called to a blaze at a poultry farm in Tunstall shortly after 11.30am on Tuesday, March 16.

Two crews from Farringdon and two crews from Sunderland Central attended the scene and it is understood that the fire is now under control, with two crews remaining at the scene.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown at this time.
