5. Alnwick Garden's Halloween
The venue is expecting more than 10,000 visitors for its Halloween event. Over 12s can experience The Garden of Screams from 5.30pm to 9pm from October 28 to October 31.

6. Arbuthnot & Pals’ Wizarding Adventure
Friday, November 1 will be the final day to see this half-term panto at The Customs House.
7. Tweddle Children's Animal Farm
Get the kids back to nature with the chance to pet and feed a host of animals, including sheep and lambs, goats and kids, miniature donkeys, calves, hens and chicks, alpacas, llamas, ponies and pigs. It's based at Blackhall Colliery and open seven days a week, from 10am to 5pm.

8. The Holy Island
Wrap up warm and head to the Holy Island Causeway but remember to check the tide times before you go.
