Pictures from the Sunderland 10k and half marathon as events return to city

Sunderland was buzzing as hundreds of runners took part in the Sunderland 10k and half marathon.

The events were among the biggest to take place in the North East since the start of the pandemic.

The Sunderland City Runs weekend got underway on Saturday with the 3k and 5k events. You can see pictures of those events here.
