5. Good Life dance event, The Saltgrass, Deptford
Dance the night away with 90s dance and house legends for a bumper Bank Holiday celebration. Early 90s electronic music heroes Altern8, whose dancefloor anthems included Activ-8, E-vapor 8 and Frequency, will be performing a DJ set at the Good Life all dayer, which takes place from 12noon until 12am on Sunday, August 28 at The Saltgrass in Deptford.
They’ll be joined on the bill at the bumper Bank Holiday event by a host of house, techno, dance and rave DJs including house DJ Collin Paterson, Batesy, Emmie, Forriner, Kuz, Toddy and To The Manor Born favourites Tony Hutchinson and Tony Gibb.

6. The National Glass Centre

7. The Manor Bar, Sunniside
The Manor Bar in Sunniside is hosting a Bank Holiday party on Sunday. Acoustic singer Stephen Wilson will get the party started from 3pm to 5pm, followed by a soul and funk from 6pm. Doors open 1pm until late. Photo: national world
8. Dino Trail, city centre
Dinosaur eggs and a whole host of prehistoric critters have popped up in Sunderland. In the latest of its successful augmented reality trails, Sunderland BID is running Jurassic Jungle until September 4. Accessed using the Sunderland Experience App, it takes users on an adventure through the city, to venues such as the Museum and Winter Gardens, the Empire Theatre and the Bridges to find the dinos, whilst also unlocking offers for city businesses.
