Half-term Halloween fun at Washington Wetlands this month
Kids can enjoy half-term with hands-on craft activities, autumn wildlife and wetland folklore.
Families are in for a Super Natural Halloween adventure at WWT Washington Wetland Centre, with mystical nature-inspired activities coming to life.
From October 24 to November 1, visitors can enjoy half-term with hands-on craft activities, autumn wildlife and wetland folklore.
Activities include: searching for mushrooms on a mysterious fungi hunt, examining an owl’s secrets, discovering tiny underwater creatures, a minibeast hunt, crafting an enchanting willow wand using natural materials and making a wish for wetlands and wildlife.
Centre manager Gill Pipes said: “Super Natural is perfect for younger children. It’s an accessible and scare-free way to celebrate the season, encouraging families to get outdoors, have fun and discover the surprising superpowers of wetlands.
“From experiencing the magic of a fairy mushroom ring and crafting a willow wand to getting up close to seasonal wildlife, there are plenty of exciting ways for families to explore WWT Washington this autumn.”
