Here’s some ideas if you’re looking for some lifestyle inspiration.

5. Check out the city's newest sculpture
Take a walk along the riverside and check out the city's newest sculpture. Situated on the banks of the River Wear, near National Glass Centre, Molly is a life-size steel sculpture created by Dr Ron Lawson, an artist and senior lecturer at the University of Sunderland, whose own career began on the docks of Wearside. She pays tribute to the hundreds of Wearside women who kept the shipyards afloat during the world wars. | Sunderland Echo
6. Daily live music at The 3 Stories
There's daily live music at The 3 Stories from 7pm on week days and from 1pm on Saturdays and Sundays. There's also a number of events coming up at the city's newest venue including a '90s and '00s Bottomless Brunch on February 1. See their Facebook page for more. | Sunderland Echo
