With a commitment to pushing artistic boundaries and fostering creativity, this year's festival promises to be an immersive experience like no other in the region.

Boundaries 2023 will once again transform Sunderland into a hub for experimental music, visual arts, and interdisciplinary collaborations.

Building on the success of its previous editions, this year's festival is poised to push the boundaries even further, featuring an exciting line-up of local and international talent.

Attendees can expect an eclectic mix of experimental music genres, from avant-garde electronica to boundary-pushing rock and everything in between.

Renowned artists and emerging talents will take to the stage at the festival's three venues: The Peacock, The Dun Cow and Sunderland Minster.

Acts include, amongst others, the imaginative guitar playing of Australian Julia Reidy; the super dance crunches of Bristol's Mun Sing; the delicate and disciplined still sounds of Canadian Crys Cole and the encompassing rhythmic percussion and guitar ensemble of Liverpool's Ex Easter Island Head.

Other highlights include Chinese duo Li Yilei and Joan low who will perform as AAACP. Using sound design and performance techniques, the duo's work manipulates and experiments with spoken word, found samples, domestic appliances, and synthesizers.

Graeme Hopper, founder / artistic director at Boundaries Festival, said: "Boundaries is not just a festival; it's an exploration of the endless possibilities of art and music, ideas and methods, concepts and creation.
