From spectacular steam engines and extraordinary equines to fantastic festivals and terrifictraditions, there’s plenty happening at Beamish, The Living Museum of the North in 2020.

1. Great North Steam Fair, April 2-5
All aboard for a fantastic four days of all things steam with the Great North Steam Fair (2nd to 5th April). See a whole host of steam locomotives and vehicles of all shapes and sizes gathered at the museum for this amazing annual event, part of the Great North Festival of Transport. Photo: Beamish
2. Horses at Work, April 25 and 26
Trot along to Beamish for Horses at Work (25th and 26th April), the second event in the Great North Festival of Transport. See Gelderlanders, Shires and Friesians and horse drawn vehicles as part of this exciting equine extravaganza. Photo: Beamish
3. May Day celebrations, May 2 & 3

4. Brass at Beamish, June 14
