We’ve rounded up some of the best things to do with the family around the North East, from day trips to activities closer to home.
13. Birthday celebrations at Beamish Museum, County Durham
There’ll be something for all the family during Beamish Museum’s February Half Term. During the holiday the museum will be exploring childhood and toys, as well as celebrating the museum’s 50th anniversary. Enjoy birthday parties in each of the areas across the site and join in with party games, celebrations and birthday cakes. The museum has been working with community groups exploring the history of childhood and toys in the 1950s, linked to the development of a toy shop in the new 1950s Town. You can see their work on display at the museum. As with all daytime events, you can use your Unlimited Pass or Friends of Beamish membership to enjoy February Half Term at Beamish Museum.
