The family-friendly Summer Streets Festival returned to Sunderland this weekend, with crowds turning out for a day of free entertainment in the sunshine.

The festival returned to Roker and brought plenty of sunshine, happy faces and good music with it as crowds turned out to enjoy the live entertainment.

The event included free performances by a great range of acts, including Martin Stephenson & the Daintees, The Lovely Eggs, Smoove & Turrell, The Ladies of Midnight Blue and Beth Macari.
