9. Knife angel sculpture, Gateshead quayside, until February 27
The striking Knife Angel sculpture will be located on Performance Square outside Sage Gateshead until February 27. The 27ft tall sculpture is made from over 100,000 seized blades and was created to highlight the negative effects of violent behaviour. It symbolises a call for change whilst acting as a national memorial for victims of knife crime. Local charity Samantha’s Legacy secured the display for the region as part of an educational campaign taking place throughout February. Photo: Stu Norton
