5. Festive afternoon tea, National Glass Centre
Festive Afternoon Tea is being held at National Glass Centre daily until December 29 from 2.30pm to 4pm, priced £15 per person. Or you can upgrade to a glass of warming mulled wine or bubbly Prosecco for £4 per person. Enjoy a selection of festive flavours after a winter walk along the coast including: unlimited tea or coffee, Red Leicester with caramelised red onion chutney in a mini brioche bun (v), roasted turkey with tart cranberry sauce in a mini brioche bun, fig, thyme and goats cheese tart (v), mini pigs in blankets, mixed fruit scone served with brandy cream and mulled winter jam and a selection of festive cakes and pastries. 7. This Is What I See, NGCA, within National Glass Centre
For more than 20 years, artist Marjolaine Ryley has told her own stories, and those we all share together, through the lens of her camera. Now 92 photographic works, covering the University of Sunderland Senior Lecturer’s career, have gone on display.
