Children can enter for free but it should be noted that some items sold are not child appropriate and it is at a parent’s or carer’s discretion whether to bring them.

Free parking will be available at the front and back of hotel.

The first Alternative Night Market at the Roker Hotel took place on Sunday March, 10 and it was a huge success among guests and stall holders alike.

There were henna stalls, handcrafted jewellery, home accessories and amazing doughnuts from R Place, a North East-based speciality coffee shop.

The alternative markets also raise money for a chosen charity and have previously raised hundreds of pounds for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.

After the March market, more events were scheduled including one at The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle.
