Roger Sanchez, Lovely Laura and Shapeshifters announced for huge Cafe Mambo night at Rainton Arena

Global house DJ Roger Sanchez, along with special guests saxophonist Lovely Laura & Ben Santiago, The Shapeshifters, Ferreck Dawn and Cafe Mambo resident Danny O will be raising the roof at Rainton Arena on September 18, 2021.

Being brought to the region by dance music brand and much-loved Ibiza sunset venue Cafe Mambo, the night will see Grammy award-winning DJ, producer and remixer Roger Sanchez head up the evening.

Roger has held prominent residencies on the island of Ibiza since the year 2000 at some of the biggest superclubs on The White Isle, including Pacha, Space and Amnesia.

He has a strong connection with dance music brand Defected, and has continuously played sell out shows across all five continents over the last two decades.

Next up on the bill are saxophonist and DJ duo and special guests Lovely Laura and Ben Santiago who’ve gone down a storm on previous visits to Sunderland performing at The Point and Sunniside Live.

Regulars at Cafe Mambo, Laura plays renditions of classic tracks and club anthems alongside her partner Ben on the decks.

The Shapeshifters, best known for their anthem Lola’s Theme, are also set to bring the party.

They’re joined on the bill by deep house and tech house music producer and DJ, Ferreck Dawn who has been on the scene for more than 18 years and has had releases on Defected, Toolroom and Mother.

Warming up on the evening will be Cafe Mambo resident Danny O who’s spent multiple seasons in Ibiza.

It’s the latest biggest announcement for the arena which is stamping itself on the touring circuit. In line with the Government’s roadmap out of Lockdown, venues are permitted to host indoor performances again from May 17.

Rainton Arena is currently hosting a spring fair until May 9 with a roller rink, a host of rides for the family, street food and an astro turf beer garden.
