Frank Turner, Jack Savoretti and Lighthouse Family confirmed for Virgin Money Unity Arena - here's when tickets go on sale

Frank Turner, Jack Savoretti and the Lighthouse Family have been confirmed as new acts to play outdoor shows at the Virgin Money Unity Arena.

The acts are the latest to be announced for the Gosforth Park venue, which has already played host to Sam Fender, Two Door Cinema Club, the Bootleg Beatles, Adam Kay, Rumours of Fleetwood Mac and Supergrass.

Others still set to play include Maximo Park, Tom Grennan, Alfie Boe, Ronan Keating, a set by Craig Charles and a double show by The Libertines, with a run of Bongo’s Bingo sessions and comedy sets by Bill Bailey, Jimmy Carr and Jason Manford also lined up.

Folk-punk hero Frank Turner will return to Tyneside on Monday, September 7.

On Friday, September 18, the British-Italian artist Jack Savoretti will head to Virgin Money Unity Arena followed by the much-loved musical duo that is Lighthouse Family on Saturday, September 19.

Festival organiser Steve Davis, said: “We are delighted to add further shows to what has been an amazing and uplifting project for the North East’s Music Industry.

Earlier this summer, Virgin Money launched its Emerging Stars programme to support and promote Britain’s new music artists.

Indie-rock band, Mosa Wild will be the support act for London-based singer/songwriter Tom Grennan this Thursday, while R&B and soul singer-songwriter Aaron Taylor joins the line-up to support Jack Savoretti.

Tickets for Frank Turner, Jack Savoretti and Lighthouse Family will be on sale Wednesday, August 26, at 10 am.
