Lee Cattermole has announced his retirement from football at the age of 32 – and Sunderland fans are all saying the same thing.

Cattermole spent a decade of his professional career at the Stadium of Light, establishing himself as a real cult hero across 258 appearances.

He has immediately set his sights on forging a management and coaching career, which has prompted calls to bring him back to Wearside.

Fans were also in full admiration of his dedication and commitment during his long service as a Black Cats midfielder.
