Wearside League land TWR as title sponsor

The Wearside League has landed a title sponsor for the first time in more than a decade, following a tie-up with Sunderland-based company TWR Bifolds.

The league have applied to the Durham County FA to have TWR incorporated into the league name this season, but until such time that they are given the go-ahead, Terry Richardson, managing director of the company, is happy to be associated as league sponsor.

Richardson was elected as league president at last season’s AGM is proud to sponsor this long established football league which is entering its 125 season in 2016/17.

League chairman Peter Maguire said: “The sponsorship has been designed to benefit both the league and the clubs alike, with the lion’s share going to benefit clubs.”
