Plain levelled things up at 2-2 midway through the second period, then, eight minutes into injury time, Scott Watson scored a stunning winner when his shot evaded goalkeeper Chapman and found the bottom left corner.

Seaham Red Star Reserves and Leam Rangers drew 4-4 in a real thriller.

Seaham stormed 2-0 ahead through Michael Bulmer’s header and Michael Cook’s shot. Gordon Hutchinson’s terrific 30-yarder deceived keeper Chay Adamson to cut the gap.

David Paul fired home from 30 yards to restore Star’s lead, but battling Rangers rallied as Hutchinson made it 3-2.

Cook’s second put Red Star 4-2 up, but Nathan Bailey netted twice in the last five minutes, a close-range volley and one from a tight angle, to ensure the draw.

Harton and Westoe finally secured their first win, when Sean Heads’ brace sank fellow strugglers Wolviston 2-1.

Harton took the lead in the 25th minute when Sean Heads’ left-footed shot beat keeper Chris Davidson from ten yards, but only five minutes later the visitors equalised with a superb shot from Josh Chambers from outside the box.

The winner came in the 62nd minute when a close range header from Heads, his second of the game, beat Davidson to begin the celebrations.
