Swindon Town complete emergency loan signing of Birmingham City goalkeeper Connal Trueman ahead of Sunderland trip
Goalkeeper Connal Trueman has joined on a week-long emergency deal from Championship side Birmingham City
The 24-year-old will wear the number one shirt and is expected to start at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday evening (7pm kick-off).

Hide AdIt’s not the first time Trueman will have played on Wearside this season as he started for AFC Wimbledon in a 1-1 draw against the Black Cats back in December. He made 22 appearances in total for The Dons during the first half of the 2020-21 campaign.
It’s the second time Swindon have had to dip into the emergency loan market since the end of the transfer window following a knee injury to their previous emergency goalkeeper Joe Wollacott.
Teenage stopper Archie Matthews was handed his debut for Swindon’s 2-1 win over Northampton Town before The Robins had the chance to bring in reinforcements.
