Sunderland Sunday League: Dazzler Danny's on the right track for Ryhope Railway

Josh Winlow replied for the home side, but Lowell McKnight hit Ryhope’s third to seal the win.

The highly anticipated top-of-the-table clash saw TC Plastics run out 3-1 winners against second-placed Jolly Potters to extend their unbeaten league run to 12 wins.

Alan Tench fired a hat trick for the Plastic men to take them to another step closer to the league title. Paul Webster struck for Potters, but the home side defended well to deny them further inroads into the game.

Keeper Lee Smith was Potters’ star man.

AFC Wearside earned a much-needed win to lift off the bottom of the league, beating Washington New Tavern 3-2.

Man of the match Richard McVay put Wearside in front, but Gavin Neal hit a brace to turn the game around for New Tavern. Wearside were playing well, thoughm and super sub Michael Gollagly hit a very late brace to steal the points for his team.

Ben Stores, Kieran Smith and two-goal James Smiles gave The Victory Club all three points in a mid-table clash at TC, where they won 4-2.

Padget and Slater replied to level things at one point, but Victory regained control.

The Dolphin took a share of the points at Free Gardeners Arms, in a 1-1 draw, and it may turn out to be an important one as it helped them pull away from the bottom two.

Craig Gordon scored for the Free Gardeners, but Stephen Howatt was the Dolphin hero with a scrappy finish.

Farringdon ISL produced a dominant performance over Southwick to confirm why they are the title favourites in the Premier Division.

They took the lead within minutes of the kick-off after Mather found the net, but Southwick equalised soon after through Shaun Fisk.

A quick double from David “Busta” Paul, one being a “world-class” strike, put the game out of reach for Southwick.

Ash Davis scored an absolute screamer just after the break and, in the last quarter, Mather hit his second, Paul completed his hat-trick and Luke Page hit Farra’s seventh. Southwick did manage a last minute penalty, converted by Kane, to cut the deficit to 7-2.

Stalwart Joe Thompson rolled back the years for Silksworth Paragon as he earned the man-of-the-match award and kept a clean as they ran out 2-0 winners over RCA Grangetown Florists.

Dan Prater’s double won it for Silksworth, while Clayton Davis shone in vain for the home side.

Tony Barrs popped up with a rare goal to give Millfield Oddies a narrow 1-0 win over bottom side The Saltgrass in Division Four.

Wearmouth CW Juniors were the latest team to take three points from lowly Park View, securing a 3-2 away success. Dickinson, Trotter and Hollern scored for Wearmouth, with Jones and Baker replying.

Ryhope CW gave Victoria Gardens an early scare after they took the lead, but the setback only perked the visitors up and they got to business, running out 7-1 winners.

Callum Hope showed his class and fired four goals followed by strikes from Jake McIntyre and Lee Collins, whiled super Kevin Humble notched a clinical penalty.

East Rainton found Westmount at their best but still managed to take maximum points. John Gaunt scored the only goal to increase Rainton’s lead at the top.
