Wolves youngster Dion Sanderson responds to transfer rumours linking him with permanent Sunderland and Sheffield United moves
Dion Sanderson was quizzed on his long-term future after scoring his first senior goal – but insists it isn’t something dominating his thinking.
The youngster, who netted the first goal in Sunderland’s 2-0 win over Rochdale, has caught the eye in recent weeks with a string of fine performances at the heart of the Black Cats’ defence.
And that has naturally brought speculation over his long-term future, with his contract at parent club Wolves set to expire in the summer of 2022.
Various reports have suggested that Sunderland could pursue a permanent move in the summer, while Premier League side Sheffield United have also been linked with a move.
But when asked if he had any thoughts on his future, the defender said: “Not really.
"For the time being I'm just enjoying my football really - taking it game by game, winning and enjoying it.
