The 2017-18 season will go down as one of - if not THE - worst ever in Sunderland AFC's proud history.

With Sunderland on the verge of successive relegations and £110million in debt and up for sale, there is a great deal of uncertainty at the club heading into the summer.

Sunderland could be relegated as early as this weekend if they drop points at home to fellow strugglers Burton Albion.

But who is to blame for the club's recent decline? What does the future hold for Chris Coleman, Ellis Short and Martin Bain?

We invited Sunderland AFC legend Gary Bennett and BBC Radio Newcastle's Nick Barnes in for a special SAFC Facebook Live chat with our Sunderland team Phil Smith and Richard Mennear.

In an hour-long special, the panel discussed the big issues facing the club and what the future holds for the Black Cats, with the threat of relegation to League One looming large.
