A weighted points-per-game system is set to decide the League Two season - but what would that mean for Sunderland if a similar method was employed in League One?

With the 2019/20 season potentially set to be cancelled, plenty of suggestions of how to conclude the season if games cannot be played have been put forward.

Now, League Two clubs are set to decide their final standing using a weighted points-per-game system.

In this method, the average PPG won by teams both home and away is calculated. They are then awarded points in accordance with how many games of each they have left to play.
