The Black Cats have just six more games to play in the regular league campaign and desperately need to pick up wins if they are to break into the automatic promotion places.

Neil Critchley’s Blackpool side have been in fine form, though, which has seen them move into the top six.

When is Blackpool vs Sunderland?

The League One fixture between Blackpool and Sunderland is set to take place at Bloomfield Road on Saturday, April 17, 2021 and has been brought forward to an earlier time of 12:30pm

That is because this weekend’s 3pm EFL fixtures will be moved to avoid a clash with the funeral of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Is Blackpool vs Sunderland on TV?

The game won’t be on TV but streaming passes for the match will be available to purchase in due course from the SAFC website.

In accordance with the prices set by the EFL, single match passes will be available at £10 for UK fans and £7 for international fans.

What is the latest team news?

Before their game at Blackpool, Sunderland will travel to Wigan on Tuesday, April 13 (6pm kick-off).

Defender Bailey Wright hasn’t played since February due to a calf issue.

Denver Hume is in contention again following a lengthy hamstring injury.
