What Sunderland fans miss and are looking forward to when fans return to the Stadium of Light

Hopefully those days will return soon and supporters will be allowed to cheer on their side in person, while returning to their regular matchday routines.

We’ve been asking fans what they miss most about the matchday experience, with many of you quick to get in touch and share your experiences.

Pauline Philliskirk posted: The whole atmosphere

William Atkinson added: Hope when we finally do get all restrictions lifted that we get a full house at the SoL.

Steve Heathcote shared: A whole day of football with my boys, Russell Foster league in the morning followed by the match in the afternoon

@ColdwellAnn said: Don’t miss icy blasts around the concourse or the despair after a disappointing result, but I do miss the the live matchday atmosphere, the simple sight of my place of worship (SOL), shouting til I’m hoarse, and having a convivial drink before and after the game. So homesick
