The Black Cats were slow to start against the Railwaymen, and found themselves two goals down by half-time, with Chris Porter striking on the half-hour mark and Tom Lowery doubling the hosts’ lead not long after.

Substitute Jordan Jones hit back with a stunning long-range attempt shortly before the end, only for Chris Maguire to strike with a superb dipping effort in the 97th minute to salvage a valuable point for Lee Johnson’s side.

@WVintageColours tweeted: “Tale of two halves. First half – dreadful. Second half – Johnson did what he should have done when you aren't winning – do something! I'll take the point and move on to two home games. Hope Leadbitter can get fit.”

@braddfearnleyy tweeted: “Awful first half but the changes and whatever was said at half time worked. Good to see a team not sit back and accept defeat which I’m sure we would’ve done six months ago. Credit to the players there for digging deep and bailing some shocking individual performances out.”
