The Black Cats defeated Burnley under-23s 3-0 at the Academy of Light on Monday afternoon.

The result secured back-to-back wins in the Premier League 2 for the first time since November.

First teamer Maguire was heavily involved in the game and netted a stunning long-range strike.

Dan Neil captained the side as Jack Diamond started.

Denver Hume managed 75 minutes after returning from a long-term hamstring injury.
