Sunderland manager Lee Johnson has made just one change to his side for Saturday night’s clash against Hull City – and fans have been quick to react on social media.

The Black Cats are in action for the first time since they played out a 0-0 draw against Northampton Town last weekend, and are looking to move to within one point of the League One play-off places with a win over the Tigers.

Johnson’s only alteration from that match sees Callum McFadzean return to the starting lineup, with Tom Flanagan dropping out of the squad entirely.

Grant Leadbitter, Josh Scowen, and Max Power will start in midfield, with Aiden McGeady and Jack Diamond supporting Charlie Wyke in attack.

We’ve gathered some of the best reactions from supporters on Twitter:

@_wisemensay tweeted: “I know we're trying to be positive and how can we expect to score with 3 defensive midfielders? Surely we can ditch one of them for an attack minded player”

@andy_fox23 tweeted: “Poor midfield. Surely Embleton can offer more than Leadbitter/Power when we’re playing at home”.
