The Black Cats have made three changes from the side that lost at Wigan, with Aiden O’Brien, Grant Leadbitter and Callum McFadzean starting.

Chris Maguire meanwhile, is back in the squad as he takes a place on the bench – but there was no place for under-23 centre back Oliver Younger, who had travelled with the squad.

@Dan1879_SAFC added: “Younger should be on the bench at least! If owt happens to LON or Wright who goes CB??”

@amysafcxx asked: “Why isn't Maguire starting & I'm sorry but Ledbitter has no pace, he's too slow.”
