Most Swansea supporters were somewhat concerned by the fact John hadn’t been given a chance at the Liberty Stadium this term.

However, there were others who questioned his defensive attributes.

@david203cymru said: “Don’t understand why Declan John hasn’t been given more of a chance at @SwansOfficial when Bidwell is so utterly useless.”

@AshJH_ tweeted: “Declan John should do well in League One, but let’s not pretend we wouldn’t have conceded about 75% more goals if we started him”

@SCFC_Rhys added: “He’s got a lot pace, doesn’t really use it. Very good attacking but poor defensively. He’ll be very good in League One.”

@stephen32126670 commented: “Should be Bidwell, Declan wasn't given a proper chance!”

ANTOINE SEMENYO – BRISTOL CITY

The verdict from Ashton Gate was positive, with Bristol City fans hoping to see Semenyo recapture his best form at the Stadium of Light.

@BCFCOLIVERDOG said: “Great move for Him - Chance to regain confidence and rediscover that ability that he is Blessed - We all know who’s idea it was to recall him from Newport- Not your Best decision Sir”

@JonnyDolman added: “What a great move. And what a great player (for his age). Really hope he can do it at that level. Newport fan told me he was too good for league 2, so I'm hoping he can smash it in league 1 as well.”@CRT73703057 commented: “Good luck to the kid can definitely see the potential just needs a push in the right direction really hope it goes well for him”

@ukeaglesfan1 posted: “He’ll be good in L1, not quite Championship quality yet but it’ll come. Needs to hit the ground running so he gets his confidence back, but has the skills to be a good all-round striker.”
