The summer transfer window is rapidly approaching – with hundreds of players set to become free agents.
As was the case following the 2019/20 season, where around 1,400 players were thought to have been left without a club, there are set to be a plethora of individuals available this summer.
That means clubs such as Sunderland could well be eyeing up potential free agents as they look to bolster their squad over the coming months.
So which players in League One may well catch the eye?
Hundreds of players are currently set to depart third tier sides come the end of the season, although many are yet to open contract talks with discussions shelved until the campaign is finished.
But we’ve taken a look at every League One player whose deal is currently set to expire at the end of June – to see if there are any who may appeal to Lee Johnson:
