This summer’s transfer window is set to be a fascinating one for Sunderland with few knowing what to expect. There is still a lack of clarity over the end of the League One season, meanwhile in Scotland the 2019/20 campaign has already been concluded.
The knock-on effects will likely be felt both sides of the border. While Scottish clubs could see selling players to England as a way of bringing in income during such a difficult period financially, conversely English clubs may see Scotland as a market where they are able to recruit gems without breaking the bank.
