Sunderland's Charlie Wyke nominated for League One Player of the Month award along with Peterborough, Hull City and Lincoln men

Sunderland striker Charlie Wyke has been nominated for the League One Player of the Month award for February.

It’s the second consecutive month the 28-year-old has been put forward for the prize following an impressive run of form.

Wyke registered six goals in six league games in February, including when he scored four times in a 4-1 win over Doncaster.

The striker also found the net in a 2-2 draw with MK Dons and a 3-0 win at Burton.

Sunderland also recorded a 2-0 win over Fleetwood, were beaten 2-1 at Shrewsbury and drew 2-2 at Crewe in the month of February.

Peterborough’s Jonson Clarke-Harris, Lincoln midfielder Jorge Grant and Hull forward Mallik Wilks have also been nominated for the award.

Blackpool boss Neil Critchley, Russell Martin (MK Dons), Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (Burton) and Darren Ferguson (Peterborough) have been nominated for the Manager of the Month award, with the winners set to be announced on Friday.
