This month’s transfer window is nearly at the halfway stage – with Sunderland looking to strengthen for the second half of the campaign.
The Black Cats have already been linked with several players in January, while there has been interest in some of their prized assets. Here's a run-down of all the Sunderland transfer stories during this month’s window so far:
5. Anthony Patterson
Liverpool are reportedly showing interest in Patterson, yet the goalkeeper signed a new contract on Wearside at the end of last season and is embracing the chance to play for his boyhood club week in, week out. Photo: Frank Reid
6. Divin Mubama
The Daily Mail reported earlier this month that Sunderland are one of multiple clubs monitoring Mubama's situation at West Ham. The 19-year-old's contract is set to expire in the summer, while the striker has been offered a new contract by the Hammers. It's also been claimed West Ham don't want to loan the striker out this month. Photo: Alex Pantling
7. Mason Burstow
Beale confirmed earlier this month that Sunderland plan to keep Burstow for the second half of the season, following his loan move from Chelsea. The 20-year-old forward will hope to receive more game time in the second half of the campaign. Photo: Frank Reid
8. Macaulay Langstaff
Sunderland are understood to be interested in the Notts County striker, who has scored 19 goals in 26 League Two appearances for Notts County this season. The Magpies are said to value Langstaff at around £1.5million, with multiple clubs thought to be tracking his progress. Photo: Pete Norton
