The Rangers winger joined Sunderland in January and went on to make 21 appearances and scored three goals as the Black Cats missed out on promotion to the Championship.
As part of our Big SAFC Survey we asked readers whether they would like to see Jones arrive on a permanent deal this summer following his loan spell from Scottish giants Rangers.
More than 1,300 readers took part in our survey.

Our survey revealed 55% of fans would like to see Jones return this summer and felt he had shown enough quality during his five-month loan stint to warrant a permanent move to the Stadium of Light.
However, 45% felt he hadn’t done enough during his loan stint to show he was worth pursuing further as head coach Lee Johnson looks to revamp his squad.
Last week Jones thanked Sunderland fans for their support and wished the club all the best in the future.

Jones wasn’t playing regularly at Rangers so could be set for another move this summer, yet a return to Wearside appears unlikely.
The Northern Ireland international has posted the following message: “Good luck to @SunderlandAFC for the future.
"A massive club which I loved playing for. Thank you for the opportunity and a big thank you to the fans for all the love and support since I arrived. I look forward to seeing the club where it belongs in the future. Thank you.”
