So what's the latest on the injury and team news front, who will be missing on Saturday and who could yet feature?
9. ELLIOT EMBLETON
Embleton is back on Wearside recovering from a freak muscle injury he suffered in the early stages of his loan at Derby County, taking a corner right at the very end of a training session. The exact timeframe of his recovery from this latest setback is unknown, though Mowbray said in late September that it was likely to be a 'few months'.

10. CORRY EVANS
Evans is continuing his recovery from a major ACL injury, and is thought to be highly unlikely to return to competitive football before the new year.
Mowbray said last week that the experienced midfielder was making steady progress in his long-term recovery, but he is clearly some way off being able to return to training and start what will then be a relatively lengthy process in terms of building his match fitness. Photo: Frank Reid
