The Black Cats have signed former Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty and Australian defender Bailey Wright this month, alongside ex-QPR midfielder Josh Scowen but it doesn’t look like the Wearsiders are done just yet.

Reports suggest Sunderland are now looking to land Bobby Duncan, cousin of Steven Gerrard, on an initial loan deal from Italian club Fiorentina.

Whilst at Liverpool, Duncan’s agent, Saif Rubie, released a statement claiming ‘bullies’ at the club were ‘destroying the life of a young man’. The Reds, however, dismissed the comments as ‘unfounded allegations’.

That lead the 18-year-old two-time England Under-21 international to force a move to La Viola in search of regular game time which, unfortunately for Duncan, hasn’t materialised. Since making the switch the youngster is yet to feature in Serie A, playing predominately for Fiorentina’s Under-19 side, netting three goals in eight appearances.
