Sunderland suffer injury blow with Lynden Gooch ruled out for up to four weeks

Sunderland have suffered an injury blow after Lynden Gooch was ruled out for up to a month.

Phil Parkinson, speaking ahead of the Fleetwood Town match on Friday night, confirmed Gooch has suffered an ankle problem and is facing between two to four weeks out injured.

It is a major blow for Sunderland with Gooch a key player and a versatile one too.

Sunderland head to Fleetwood Town on the back of the disappointing draw at Doncaster Rovers last weekend.
