Sunderland faced Oxford United in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.
Habib Diarra’s first-half penalty proved the difference between the two teams and secured progression for Regis Le Bris’s side, in what proved to be a professional display in tricky conditions. Here’s how we rated all the Black Cats involved on the day...

9. RW - Chemsdine Talbi
Didn’t really get into the first half though in fairness that was also true of most of his team mates. Much improved after the break, drawing one good stop from Ingram and part of some dangerous moves. 6 | Matt McNulty/Getty Images

10. LW - Romaine Mundle
Had a really good game that was only missing a goal. Defended really well in front of Dennis Cirkin and had the beating of his full back all game. Sunderland’s most dangerous player and drew some good stops from Ingram. 8 | Getty Images

11. ST - Wilson Isidor
Service to him wasn’t great but Isidor might feel this was an opportunity that passed him by. Put one early shot into the side netting and didn’t see much of goal otherwise, holding the ball up on occasions but largely marshaled by the opposition defenders. 5 | Chris Fryatt

12. Sub - Noah Sadiki
Had a really good impact on the game, in and out of possession. Involved in some good moves and covered the pitch well. 7 | George Wood/Getty Images
