And he remained an unused substitute as the Addicks claimed a 3-1 victory over Luton Town - Lyle Taylor grabbing a brace before George Lapsile secured a vital triumph in the battle against relegation.

Jack Baldwin (Salford City)

Fresh from helping the Ammies to Wembley in the Leasing.Com Trophy in midweek, Baldwin retained his place in the side for the clash with Colchester United.

But he was powerless to prevent Salford falling to a 2-1 defeat against the U’s.

Jack Diamond (Harrogate Town)

Having earned plenty of plaudits in recent weeks at the CNG Stadium, Diamond continues his fine form with a dynamic display in Harrogate’s 3-0 win over Eastleigh.

The forward scored Town’s second of the afternoon, slotting past former Black Cat Max Stryjek in the process.

Jordan Hunter (South Shields)

Hunter was an unused substitute as Shields played out a 1-1 draw with Buxton.

Defender Wouter Verstraaten, who is currently on trial with the Black Cats, started the game for the Mariners - but was withdrawn after only half an hour. He was expected to form part of the Sunderland under-23 squad to take on Liverpool on Monday.
