Sunderland fan verdict on Benji Kimpioka contract talks

Benji Kimpioka’s contract situation has been a big talking point - and a majority of Sunderland fans want him to sign a new deal.

That’s according to our Big SAFC Survey.

We asked supporters whether they wanted the promising striker to sign a new deal or not.

And 57.8% of fans that took part wanted to see him put pen to paper with 42.2% believing this summer is the time for him and Sunderland to part ways.

The Swedish forward is out of contract this summer and is yet to agree terms on a new deal.

Kimpioka is currently training with old club IK Sirius after being granted permission to travel home.

With Sweden operating under far less restrictive measures, Kimpioka has been able to train with his former club.

Kimpioka was quoted recently stating that he was offered a four-year deal by Sunderland last autumn but has still not made a decision on his long-term future.
