WhoScored.com update their League One Best XI on a weekly basis, selecting players based on their ratings from live match statistics.
After Sunderland' s opening ten fixtures, Aiden McGeady and Ross Stewart’s starts to the campaign have been rewarded with a place for the duo in the XI – with the latter earning the highest rating in the team.
MK Dons and promotion rivals Wigan Athletic also have two players each in the XI, while Gillingham, Plymouth, Wycombe Wanderers, Bolton Wanderers and Rotherham United are also included.

5. Joe Jacobson - 7.5
Joe Jacobson has been a solid member of Wycombe Wanderers' defence since he joined the club in 2014 and this season is no different. The left-back has scored once and assisted three goals for Gareth Ainsworth's side so far.

6. Matt O'Riley - 7.4
Matt O'Riley is one of two MK Dons midfielders included in the starting XI, with the 20-year-old scoring two and assisting two so far this season. Liam Manning's side currently sit 6th in League One and have lost to only Doncaster Rovers and Sunderland so far.

7. Scott Twine - 7.6
Scott Twine joined MK Dons from Swindon Town during the summer and has been unstoppable since - becoming their top scorer with six goals and two assists from midfield so far.

8. Aiden McGeady - 7.2
Many Sunderland fans will argue that Aiden McGeady has had a rather quiet start to the season in comparison to his usual self, but the 35-year-old has still earned himself a place in WhoScored.com's best XI. McGeady has scored twice and assist three in 10 games for the Black Cats.
