Sunderland have been hit with a further injury blow after Patrick Roberts was ruled out of the Championship clash with Burnley.

Amad has been handed his second start of the season as a result. Sunderland say that Roberts is absent after picking up a knock in training, raising some hope that his absence will be a brief one.

The Black Cats do not play in the upcoming midweek but then play four important games before the World Cup break in mid-November.
